The Dove School Bus Story

(February, 1987) Gnome children have to rise earlier than human children, so that they can ride the Mourning Dove to school. Their schoolhouse is at the edge of a field where the Mourning Dove can eat all day long, while the bus driver, Grackle, waits to take his charges home after school. The children are named Wren, Robin, Crowe, and Junco. Junco is always making faces at the other Dove School Bus behind them! As you can tell, one of the children is exiting the bus, so this scene must be happening at the end of the day.
