Always Story

(June, 1996) Always and forever – that describes this tender scene. A bouquet of roses makes a gift of love. She’s pleased but not surprised, for she knows him so well. His look says, “Remember when…?” but this is a secret they won’t share with us. Her kerchief is decorated with hearts, and even the coin from South Africa has lovebirds on it. I have left space on the scroll to write in special names and dates. There will be many days without roses or rainbows, but none without love – that will last always and forever.
