The Wiz Story

Item #87

(June, 1983) This delightful fellow gives out recipes for home remedies (when he isn’t telling ghost stories). He wears the customary robe and hat with stars and moons emblazoned thereon. There is a small tree Gnome at the base, about to catch sight of a beetle. On the other side is a salamander who has spotted a wee beetle of his own. To protect the insects, there is an ancient Egyptian scarab, which will bring the insects good luck. The English coin is in honor of the Wiz’s patron saint, Merlin the Magician.
