Mabel Story

(January, 1984) Using the same chair as did Nellie and Mattie, Mabel is intent on her basket weaving. To her left is a small tub with strips of cane soaking. In her lap she is completing another basket which will be much desired by the summer folk who vacation in the mountains near her home. She is named for two beloved teachers of mine in the 1930’s.
